About Dog Style
Barbara and Miss Choo Choo, her hairy business partner, started Dog Style in November 2013. When Barbara’s mom passed away, she inherited Choo Choo. That’s when she learned the hard way that none of the pet stores in Longview, Tyler, or the surrounding areas offered the healthy food and quality products Barbara wanted for her dog. So she decided to open her own dog supply store that would provide the quality that dogs like Choo Choo deserve.
In July 2019, at the request of many customers, Dog Style moved into a larger location and opened The Spa at Dog Style. Providing a safe, nurturing environment for her grooming clients is Barbara's priority. The setting is quiet, relaxed and comfortable, just the way her customers wanted.
Barbara’s favorite part about her company is getting to interact with her customers every day (and by “customers,” she means the dogs). A playful sign in our store says it all: “Dogs welcome. People tolerated.” Caring for pups like Choo Choo is not just Barbara’s job, it’s her profession. And she takes it seriously. Barbara is a Certified Pet Nutritionist, she is trained in Pet CPR/First Aid, and is an AKC certified safety groomer.
For Barbara, her team, and the fun community of dog lovers who have become loyal customers, Dog Style is lifestyle. A common frustration our customers have when they first visit Dog Style is that they're unsure what their pet needs for nutrition. Often they have tried many different foods and have visited their vet without finding a solution to their problem. That's why our team at Dog Style includes a Certified Pet Food Nutrition Specialist. We listen to your concerns, ask the right questions and work with you to create a healthy, functional diet. If we don't have exactly what your fur-baby needs, we'll get it for you or tell you where you can find it. We love your dog too!
